If You Like Pina Colada…

Is there anything more summery than the scent of coconut? I can’t actually stand the taste of coconut (unless you count those little flakes on top of pastries), but the scent has always been among my favourites. In fact, I think my first ever perfume was a little bottle called Noix de Coco from Yves Rocher that just smelled like straight up coconut (I used to be all about the simple scents). Coconut scented beauty products always make me think of summer holidays, floral bikinis, beaches and pina coladas, and today I’ve rounded up my favourites for your sniffing pleasure:

The Body Shop Pinata Colada

The Body Shop always does amazing summer scents. (Last year’s Virgin Mojito collection anyone?). But this year they’ve really outdone themselves. The Pinata Colada collection smells like pina coladas. So they’re not pure coconut scented beauty bits, but have a bit of pineapple in the mix as well. (That just makes it even better if you ask me). I went for the little travel sizes of both the body butter and the shower gel, and immediately regretted not getting the full size. The shower gel is creamy and surprisingly moisturizing for a gel, and the body butter has a lovely light whipped texture that sinks in so fast. And most importantly, the combo will have you smelling like pina coladas all day long.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical

I’ve sung praises for Batiste so many times on this blog, that I won’t bore you with that ramble again. Suffice to say that I think it’s the best dry shampoo ever and the only thing that actually saves my hair from being a greasy mess. (That comes in especially handy during this June heat). I’ve tried pretty much every Batiste scent out there, but I always go back to Tropical because of the fresh coconut scent.

John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Salt Spray

Because of my massive love for the sea I’m convinced that I’m actually part mermaid. (Despite the fact that I’m a lousy swimmer). But since I live nowhere near an ocean I’m forced to resort to sea salt sprays to get those beachy waves in my hair. The John Frieda Beach Blonde sea salt spray gives my hair that tousled and piece-y beach vibe without making it crunchy. And best of all, it smells like a pina colada.

Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub

I know, hand scrub is probably one of those things you’d never imagine needing. And if we’re perfectly honest I might have just bought this because of the word coconut in the name. But since I suffer from perpetually dry hands, I’ve actually ended up using it quite a few times. It’s a gentle yet effective sea salt scrub. And the coconut scent has a smoky saltiness to it that makes it unlike any other coconut scented beauty product I own.

The Body Shop Coconut Hand Cleanse Gel

Hand sanitizer is something that I especially use when traveling, but it comes in handy other times too. So I try to keep one in my bag at all times. However, I’m not a huge fan on the hand sani scent (who is) and always try to find one with a lovelier scent. This The Body Shop hand cleanse gel smells like coconuts, dries down really fast and also won’t dry out your hands as much as regular sanitizers tend to.

What’s your favourite coconut scented beauty product?

Funny fact, I actually own all of these products, and am loving all of them (besides the John Frieda Salt Spray… Just isn’t cutting it for me). I’ve had a little obsession with The Body Shop Lately, and I am so impressed by their summer range. x

What a coincidence! The John Frieda is not my favourite salt spray either, even though I do like it (the scent is just to die for!). And the Body Shop really makes some of the best summer ranges, don’t they? xx
