Another month done… June is now done, and with that, my summer holiday is also coming to an end, and it’s time to go through my June beauty favourites. This month I really didn’t try any new skincare, but mostly focused on trying as many new summer makeup launches as my wallet would allow, while also investing in a couple of things I’d had my eye on for quite some time…
JUNE BEAUTY FAVOURITES
Oh, I had been dreaming about this perfume for quite some time. But I usually only buy perfume on special occasions. But since it was just too lovely not to get, I decided that summer is a special enough occasion. And I’ve been wearing it non-stop all month. Roses de Chloé is a gorgeous floral scent with a rosy core and a hint of warm musk and amber, making it the perfect sophisticated summer scent. And don’t even get me started on that bottle..
I’m guessing you’re not surprised to see this one in my June beauty favourites? I had been lusting after the NARS cult classics for so long, that this month I’ve found it though to use any other products. Orgasm is a luminous warm pink with warm golden shimmer running through it, and it’s pretty much been the only blush I’ve worn all month. It gives such a gorgeous glow to the cheeks, without looking unnatural or over the top.
Finally got my hands on these! NYX launched in Finland two months ago, and since then the Soft Matte Lip Creams have been constantly sold out. But I did manage to get my hands on a couple of shades last month, and the rosy nude Zurich quickly became my favourite. On application these have a really soft almost moussey texture that dries down to a matte. They can start to crack though if you have dry lips, so make sure you keep your lips moisturized before slapping these on!
L’Oréal Glam Bronze Cushion du Soleil
I’ve bought quite a few bronzers over the last few months. (I have no idea why, just went a little bronzer crazy). But this one has proven to be my favourite so far, so it deserved a place in my June beauty favourites. It’s a liquid cushion bronzer that’s easy to tap onto your cheeks using a beauty blender, and it gives a gorgeous bronzey glow.
I’m a big fan on the Miss Manga mascara. So as soon as I noticed that they were launching a sister for it, I knew I wanted to try it. This mascara has one of those really fluffy fibre wands that always make me think of bumble bees, and it’s really good at separating every single lash. The formula is rather thin and dry, meaning that you’ll have to do quite a few coats to get dramatic lashes. But for a more natural hippie look, this is just perfect.
