If you ask me, one of the best things about a new season are all the new beauty launches. And today I have an autumn launch by Lancôme to share with you. A few weeks ago I tweeted saying that I hope L’Oréal would bring out a cushion blush next, but something even better happened; the Lancôme cushion blush. Apparently dreams do come true (at least beauty dreams). So today I’ll be chatting about my thoughts on the cushion blush, and one of their renewed lipsticks as well.
NEW IN | LANCôME AUTUMN BEAUTY LAUNCHES
Lancôme Cushion Blush Subtil | Rose Lemonade
I’ve been completely obsessed with all things cushion ever since the L’Oréal cushion foundation. I own two cushion foundations and a cushion bronzer, but the one thing my cushion collection was missing was a blush. (And a highlight! Please Lancôme?). The Lancôme Cushion Blush Subtil is a liquid blush in a cushion, and for me it was definitely love at first try.
The packaging is quite similar to the Lancôme cushion foundation, but it’s a tad smaller and comes with a petite applicator. The blush itself really is quite liquidy, and at least with a lighter shade like mine requires a bit of layering for a proper blushed look. But the finish, oh the finish! It’s a dewy glowy dream of a blush that looks just gorgeous on the skin. I have the shade Rose Lemonade, a bright cool toned pink that also looks beautiful layered on top of other blushes.
Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Sheer Lipstick | Nuit & Jour
The classic Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks have gone through a bit of a revamp this season, and they now come in three formulas: matte, sheer and cream. The packaging has also been redesigned, and it’s now a gorgeous sleek black & gold tube with the iconic Lancôme rose at the top. The lipstick also has a fancy new opening mechanism, where you press at the top and the lipstick pops open. (I just love a little gimmick like that!).
Along with the relaunch, they’ve also added some new shades to the range, including Nuit & Jour. It comes in the sheer formula, so it’s really comfortable on the lips and effortless to apply even without a mirror. The shade is a pretty blushing nude with peachy tones, and as the name would suggest, it’s perfect for both day & night.
Will you be giving the new Lancôme cushion blush a try?
