As I’m sure most of you know by now (as I literally cannot shut up about it), next Monday I’ll be heading back for a well overdue visit to my favourite city in the world. (Oh, Paris how I’ve missed you!). It’s been more than two years since I last laid eyes on the Eiffel tower, and that’s way too long if you ask me. Since this is also the first time that I’ll be visiting Paris in the winter, I’ve had to put some more thought into what I’ll be packing.
I’m usually a huge overpacker, and tend to bring just about everything but the kitchen sink with me. I also often have this vision of myself wearing dainty dresses and high heels on holiday. When at the end of the day I’ll always feel more comfortable in a well-fitted tee and jeans. And since I’ve been on a bit of a capsule wardrobe kick lately, I figured I’d apply the same minimalist approach to my suitcase, and put together a little travel capsule wardrobe for Paris.
What’s In My Paris Travel Capsule Wardrobe
For this trip we’re planning on taking it easy. Eating all the food, doing a bit of shopping and spending time with our Parisian friends. While strolling through some of the usual sights as well. So I wanted my travel capsule wardrobe to be full of comfortable monochrome classics that I could easily mix & match.
- A black cashmere jumper, white silk button up and dark denim are some of my ultimate wardrobe essentials.
- And of course I couldn’t go to Paris without a breton top and one of my many French slogan tees. (I’m hoping that this one will make people forgive my less than perfect French…).
- A classic coat, comfy boots and cozy scarf are all winter essentials that I couldn’t travel without.
Are you an overpacker or a minimalist when it comes to packing for travels?
