3 Multi-tasking Masks for the Busy Girl

While giving my skin a proper treat in the form of a face mask is one of my favourite things to do, I often find myself a bit too busy (or just plain lazy) to do them. Most evenings after washing off my makeup I want to plop straight into bed, and the thought of messing my hands in sticky clay just sounds exhausting. Not to mention having to spend ages rubbing it off my face after it dries. And then there’s the fact that most masks are only good for one thing, so to get the full package you’d need to do an exfoliating mask, a cleansing mask, a hydrating mask…

But since I do love masks, I’ve taken the time to find a few truly brilliant multi-tasking masks, that tackle several things at once, are all easy to wash off and take only ten minutes of your day.

The Body Shop Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask

Claims: Exfoliates & Brightens.

Regularly exfoliating my skin is something I never remember to do, so I love a mask that can both treat & exfoliate my skin at the same time. This Body Shop mask has one of the weirdest textures I’ve ever seen, since it resembles a grainy porridge. But it really does polish and clarify the skin. The Chinese ginseng and sesame oil make your skin softer and smoother, while the rice exfoliates giving your skin a gorgeous glow. Washing it off takes a bit more work because of the exfoliating bits, but I promise it’s worth it.

Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask

Claims: Cleanses, Hydrates & Brightens

A true multi-tasker, Goddess Skin claims to do pretty much everything you could possibly wish from a face mask. And I’m happy to say it delivers too. It’s a lovely pink clay mask with the softest floral scent, that’s both easy to apply and wash off. The clay cleanses and absorbs oil without drying, while the sweet almond and rosehip oils nourish and hydrate the skin. It feels like the ultimate indulgent treat, and leaves my skin glowy, smooth and soft as a baby’s bum.

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask

Claims: Moisturizes & Cleanses.

It’s no secret that this mask is one of my all time favourites, and it’s been featured on this blog more times than I can count. It has a creamy nourishing texture made of nature’s super ingredient manuka honey. Manuka honey has antibacterial properties which make it brilliant for cleansing blemish-prone skin, and it also draws moisture to your skin for an intense boost of hydration. It leaves my skin feeling plump, hydrated and bouncy, and best of all, smells like a vanilla bean.
