The Suncare Update | Lierac Sunissime

The Suncare Update | Lierac Sunissime | Shakespeare & Sparkle

I have to start this post with a little confession. Despite knowing the damage sun does to my skin more than well enough, I’ve always been a bit lazy when it comes to sun care. Actually, up until about a month ago I had never used an SPF on my face. (Horrible, I know). But the older I get the more I start to realize that the damage to my skin is irreversible, so I’ve recently become quite an obsessive sunscreen user. I also definitely have the Lierac Sunissime* range to thank for that.

Lierac Sunissime Energizing Protective Fluid

I’ve raved about this product a few times in the past month, and it’s without a doubt my favourite in the range. I never really bothered with face SPF before, because it just felt like an extra step that wasn’t actually doing anything ‘visible’ for my skin. Which is why I’m so enamored with this little bottle. Not only does it feel really light and protect your skin from both UVA & UVB rays, but it also makes your skin super glowy. It’s packed with hydrating hyaluronic acid, energizing protaurine and peptides that actually help you tan more beautifully.

Lierac Sunissime Energizing Protective Lotion

I’ve always been more of a spray girl when it comes to sunscreen, so I wasn’t too excited to try this lotion. But after reading Goop Clean Beauty and learning how bad aerosol sunscreen can actually be for you, I decided to give it a try nonetheless. Despite being a lotion this comes in a spray bottle, which makes it really fast and easy to apply. It also sinks in fast and won’t leave your skin feeling sticky. It does have that slightly ‘sunscreen-y’ scent, but the scent also has a mix of coconut and flowers, so no complaints here.

Lierac Sunissime SOS Repairing Serum

After sun products were a completely new beauty category for me, and to be honest, I didn’t really get the point at first. But after one particularly hot day of fun in the sun, I dug these babies out. This lightweight serum is packed with witch hazel to prevent signs of aging. And avocado oil and omega fatty acids to restore the skin’s moisture balance. It repairs, calms and hydrates the skin, while smelling deliciously of white flowers.

Lierac Sunissime SOS Repairing Milk

While I usually keep my face protected from direct sunlight with a hat, my body tends to get plenty of heat. So even more than the face serum, I loved the repairing body milk. After a day at the beach my skin loses a lot of its moisture and tends to feel dry and tight when I get home. This milk is so light my skin just drinks it up. And it doesn’t only hydrate, but also actually cools down the surface of your skin. I image that if you ever did get unlucky enough to properly burn yourself, this milk must feel like heaven.

Have you tried the Lierac Sunissime bits?

I have never heard of this brand before – I don’t really need an after sun product because I am never in the sun!

It’s a French pharmacy brand, one of my absolute faves! I love the sun, so an after sun product actually does come handy for me. xx
